SM520 was built in Castle Bromwich is 1944, initially as a single seat fighter, as it was the end of the war, it was sold to South Africa where is was used as a training plane. Its history is rather unknown, but it was involved an a serious crash and shipped to a srap yard in Cape Town. Its pieces were identified as SM520 and moved to a SAAF museum store. In 2002 after another of other owners it was bought by Paul Portelli, who decided it should be restored and converted to a two seater. After his untimley death SM520 was sold to Steve Boultbee Brooks.

You can fly in SM520 or take a course to become a pilot.
